breakfast at hotel will be followed by a guided city tour of Skopje. On our walking tour we will see City Museum, the memorial house of Mother Theresa, and will continue to the Skopje’s Old Town through the symbol of the city, The Stone Bridge. The old town is characterised by architectural mixture of churches, mosques, inns, baths, small shops at Bit Pazar which offer typical hand-made souvenirs. The Fortress Kale is situated near the Old Town, on a hill, giving a picturesque view to the old and new part of the town. After a pleasant walk around the fortress, we will visit The Church of St. Spas (The Holly Saviour), one of the most secret and sacred places in Skopje.
Afternoon at leisure. You may visit again Old Bazaar and try delicious local meal at one of typical, decorated in old way, small restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
We will take you today on a full day Skopje surroundings tour – roundtrip through major cultural and historical monuments around Skopje. This tour includes visit of the Monastery of St, Andrea (14th century), located on shores of Matka Lake, Monastery of St. Pantelejmon (12th century) famous for its frescoes, the Church of St. Demetrious (14th century) and Monastery of St. Nikikat (14th century) an important monument of North Macedonian Middle Age architecture and valuable fresco paintings. At the end, we will visit the Ancient Roman City of Skupi and the Old Aqueduct. Return to Skopje, overnight.
